Before the last update., I was able to log in to something called the user control panel. That would show me the forums to which I was subscribed. After the update, I can't find the user control panel. How is it accessed? Is it still available?

Yeah, the UCP is gone. You can still find them but it takes a bit of a dance to get there.
Under your handle in the upper right corner, select "My Profile". Then pick "Subscriptions" located under your avatar. Looks like the max is 300. You can sort by Name or Last Activity. Click on the sort field to reverse the sort order.

OK, I take the 300 limit back. After I added to this one, my count went to 301.
Not sure there's any limit in number but mine only go back to 9/2021
