    Problems with posts getting Closed

I had a for sale thread closed. Wondering what happened. I wanted to repost but wanted to figured out why it was closed in the first place. It was a post in the non firearms related thread. I was selling my watch. First time this has happened to me. Thanks in advance.

edit; most all my threads have been closed. Possibly I'm banned? Still would like to know what could have caused this?

I don't think you are banned as it would shoe under your username and on my end I do not see anything, did you try refreshing the pages?? This new server move has a glitch where initially it will not show a new post that you've made, the solution is to refresh the page and it will show, just a suggestion.

Sometimes the mods. will close a thread if it has been inactive for 3 or more days.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the insight. Just have never experienced this. Possibly a cleanup of sorts from the mods. Wanted to make sure I didn't upset anyone unintentionally.

            Problems with posts getting Closed

I recently had 2 of my threads closed. Is it me or something wrong with the site? The first was an older WTS and wasn't updated since last month. The most recent was about a week old. What am I doing wrong? I'd like to change the status of the post and delete the images.

UPDATE: Sorry for the duplicate. I just saw that someone else also reported the same issue.

Why is my for sale thread closed?

I've been running a for sale thread in parts and accessory's ad for months under Rare and Unique items and went to bump it, but it's been closed! This ad requires MUCH typing and has been pretty successful and I would like to keep it going! What can be done?

If your post remains inactive for more than a few days, they are closed.

If you would like it reopened, hit the red triangle on the upper right corner and let a moderator know so they can reopen.

Bump up every few or other day so not to go “inactive”

Except be careful with any URLs that may be displayed - the software shortens them for display and many are not valid when you copy what is on the screen. Need to explicitly 'Copy URL' or 'Copy Link'.

                        See also Quiet's post -
As the post creator, you can do one bump every 24 hours.

If the OP does not post any new activity (bumps, adding new items, etc) within 72 hours, then the thread may be closed as being inactive.

^On average the thread isn't closed until after 168 hours inactivity.

Threads typically get closed as they get reported/discovered.

There is not enough time in the day to proactively go through every marketplace subforum on a daily basis, so implementation of this is not consistent and some subforums may not see any attention for several months.

Unfortunately, I was involved in an accident two weeks ago that has taken my time to recover, so I may have let the ad go for a few days... There is a LOT of typing involved to produce an accurate ad with details...
