    Any Updates?

Any updates on getting back to normal operations as things open up? I though sporting goods stores were allowed awhile back?

Mostly interested in the fishing side of things.

I guess it depends on where you live. Where I am, all sporting goods stores are open and doing gun sales. They have been for at least a few weeks now. In fact I just put a down payment on a 45 at Turners, to have it shipped from another store.

Note, this Turners does have a cap on how many customers in the store, and must wear mask, and temperature check when entering. I had to wait 20 minutes to get in last Friday AM.

I'm in L.A. county. Big 5 is open.

I'm ok with max capacity, but they need to resume normal operations. They still have banker's hours and haven't published a sale ad in forever.

Are appointments still required or are they open to the general public (with capacity limits)?

If they've got nothing in stock what good is a sale ad going to do?

They sell fishing equipment too, which I do.

I went to do a pick up today. I had an appointment at 11 am to pick up a revolver. I made this appointment 13 days ago. I showed up today at 10:50 and there were 7 people ahead of me in line. I did not get to see a salesperson until 12:15. I was then told that my DROS was still pending and to come back next week. It was a colossal waste of time. If you have an appointment you should be attended to within 15 to 20 minutes. If not then what is the point of an appointment? If a person is over 15 minutes late cancel their appointment and put them on standby. You also need to have a person who does pick ups only. With so many newbies, asking simple questions and being unsure about what to buy some transactions are taking forever, having someone who only releases firearms would speed up the process. You also need to have more people working the gun counter. I counted three persons while i was there and each person was taking 30 to 45 minutes to be dispatched.

^ So, what are people buying? According to Keith, there's nothing in stock.
