I have a pre-war savage model 6 22lr rifle with the hand rolled checkering on the stock. It's not a 6a, or "gill gun" (it has no "gills"),or any other variant. It's strange too that it says to grease it only instead of basic gun oil for cleaning. I can't seem to find info on it as well because everything suggests what it isn't...Anyway, my problem is that it's missing all the parts for the right extractor (extractor, plunger, spring...), but it has all the parts on the left side extractor. My question is-
Can I just switch the parts over? I don't know how to do it, and I'm looking for a gunsmith (San bernardino K&D?).
Any info is much appreciated.
Thanks, -Ozzy
