    Chabot Ammo Prices

Might have a chance to give Chabot a try this friday. I need to pick up some ammo and was wondering if I need to buy it before or if they have some decent prices.

Can't say I recall what their prices have been recently, but long before "the panic" I remember the glancing at some of the stuff they had stickers on and thinking to myself that they must only sell ammo to the people who forgot to bring some.

All I know is a) they have some signs up saying you can only get limited quantities (I think for 9mm it's one box) and b) I know a guy there who buys .22 for the kids and I offered him some .22 at 10 cents a round and he whipped out his wallet so fast it almost caught fire from the heat of friction. I can only imagine what they're charging to make him that happy.

Chabot is a great range but please get your ammo somewhere else. We got short on our shells for trap and a box of target birdshot was ~$10. If I reall, box of 9mm was in the high $20's

Going up 880? Stop by Milpitas Walmart, you might get lucky depending on what you need.

There's also Traders Sports in town off of Castro Valley Blvd. They've been ok on ammo prices since they haven't been able to sell guns anymore.

I love shooting at Chabot but I wouldn't buy their ammo. I think they were selling 50 rounds of 9mm for $20 or more, I could be wrong .

even the shoot n sees are pricey

I never brought ammo at chabot.. or any ranges for that matter. But I remember at the height of the panic finding a empty 50rd box of CCI Blazer 22LR with multiple price tags tape on top of one each other. Being as bored as I was I pulled off each of those labels. The one on bottom read $3.50 and it went all the way up to $13.

Some places nearby that sells ammo is Elite Armory and Trader Sports in Castro Valley. Still the best place to pick up ammo is Walmart in Milpitas or Mountain View. It's a shame that none of the Alameda County Walmarts sell ammos. Damn libs

Buying ammo there is the same as theft. No way Jose!!!!
