209 ham radio check in

hey guys i just got a beofing uv-5r.

i was wondering if there were any ham radio operators in the 209 area, maybe we can meet up and and someone can show me a thing or two about this radio

The Stockton-Delta Amateur Radio Club meets up in Lodi.

I've not been to their meetings, but it is a good place to start. I've been licensed since 1996, with the last 11 years being at Amateur Extra. I occasionally help out at the testing sessions up at Carmichael.

Not 209, but got my license at the begining of the year. Lots of people out there willing to Elmer. Hook up to the Local repeater and start chatting. People are always willing to help.
