Hello, my names Jason Wright, R.N., EMT-B. I am a basic life support instructor and have been in emergency medicine for nearly a decade, currently as a registered nurse in a local E.D.
My friends both acquaintance and close know I love three things, saving lives, off roading and sport shooting. Lately many of my female friends have been lamenting they don't know what to buy, where to go, how learn etc, or even where to start.
Thus my questions; my EMS friends and I are interested in starting a not for profit that helps purchase low end, reliable entry level firearms, training, and education.
This will, hopefully, help increase the number of educated gun owners in so Cal, perhaps create better educated electorate and put more guns in the hands of lawful, well trained and educated individuals.
We determine we need the assistance of a firearm manufacturer, or high end gun store, publication publicity, legal advice, a range with range officers and several instructors. Now the hard part is this needs to be pro bono type work (aside from the cost of the firearm itself) and even that we'd like to prorate.
Any ideas? Please stick with the this will / won't work and why, let's try to stay away from the this is dumb/to ambitious type of answers . We are ambitious people and we specialize in making the impossible, possible, I.e. making hearts start again after they stop.
So links, plans ideas, etc.
And feel free to move this thread, it is currently targeted towards young women, but could easily expand later..
Thanks all so much
