I am looking to add a mechanic to a very busy tire/repair shop in Manhattan Beach.
The shop is primarily European (Mbz,Bmw,Audi,Porsche,Land Rover) but we work on all makes of vehicles. The Tech/Mechanic needs to be of the highest quality, no corners are cut, ever at my shop. This is not a rushed environment, no quick lube hurry hurry stuff. You will be expected to manage yourself and your own time. This is a very very good opportunity if you are an A level Tech/Mechanic. I will not breathe down your neck, ever. It should go without saying, that at this level, you will need to supply your own tools.
The pay is DOE, I have no problem paying top wage if you are a top guy. It is an hourly position, you will get 1.5 hours of overtime a day, five days a week. We work Saturdays, you get one Saturday off a month. Your Saturday is all overtime. Most guys get 15 hours of OT a week. We provide 401K, healthcare, dental, paid vacation etc. You can assume 70-90k a year.
Here is the gist of it. This is a top level shop, I need a top level mechanic. If you perform and are very good, this will be the best job you have ever had. No one will bother you, I wont tell you how to do your job. You will be expected to be your own foreman. This is an open box shop. We have never had one issue, nor will we. If there was an issue like this, the tool box would be rolled onto the curb. No fights etc. No drugs, no bs.
