See I think they are afraid to make a decision due to the Bullet button incident. I think they are going to fall back on the typical BS that "anyone of the states 58 DA may decide otherwise" crap

I think they feel it's easier to loose in court then just say it's ok and open the flood gates.

Atlantic Firearms was selling them to California (not sure if they still are) but it would be really nice to hear from DOJ on this. It's the kind of gray area that could go really badly for you if you're the test case.

CADOJ should be shut down what a bunch of crooks to pull stuff like that time and again. It disgusts me that my tax money goes to pay their salaries.

Thanks for your inquiry XXX. That's a great question to ask. We do have them, however we are not currently selling them. We really want to sell them, but due to them being miss-classified as a "burst" fire or a device that "turns your gun into an automatic rifle" we are waiting for the dust to settle. Due to the miss-classification it could lead to false arrests that would be later thrown out in court. DOJ has requested two stocks from SlideFire. SlideFire sent them out two stocks roughly 1 year ago. DOJ basically said "if you don't here from us it's a good thing." That was told to me from SlideFire. ATF has already determined it to be legal and NOT a device that turns your gun into an automatic rifle, however California Law supersedes Federal Law. As of now, California DOJ's statement about SlideFire, told to me multiple times over the phone, is that their opinion is that they have no opinion. And by saying that, they are not saying it's illegal. One can argue that they are not saying it's legal either, however, for something to be legal, you are not required to say it's legal, but for something to be illegal you are required to say that it is illegal. They will give me their statement over the phone, but they will not give me their statement in writing, that they have "no opinion." It's a little ridiculous to me.

Where we stand right now, SlideFire has hired an attorney to try to get something in writing from California DOJ and the attorney they hired is the head attorney for the NRA. That's a good thing. If the NRA was not behind SlideFire, they would not let their head attorney work for SlideFire.

I have heard of the controversy, however, we have been offering our product for sale in all 50 states for almost two years now and have yet to hear from any state saying our product is anything less than legal. Not only do we offer direct sales in California, but we have several dealers set up throughout the state. Despite having one of our stocks for over a year, the California DOJ recently gave us notice that they will not be giving an opinion. We have thousands of happy customers in California and have even been invited to attend several law enforcement events to sell our stocks on site.

I have a guy that wants to purchase/transfer in from out of State from me a AK74 and a Bump/Slide Fire attachment. I would appreciate some advice/opinions on the issue.
