How about a thread for shipping questions? USPS/UPS/FedEx, shipping handguns, etc. Some FFLs think that it is required by law to ship handguns overnight.

Please start a new thread, this thread is not the place to ask specific questions, it is for the FAQ.

How about a thread about all the notices and regulations, laws, etc.. that need to be posted in plain view?

Under the CA DOJ FAQ it states DROS paperwork is to be kept for a period of 3 years. I don't see the BATFE 4473 paperwork storage time. Anyone know what it is?

Also I'm assuming bound books are as long as the business is open. Am I wrong?

                The 4473 is 20 years.

It appears that the bound book has to be kept or turned in.

The whole [CA] set appears to be in the PC at 26835

ETA - there is such a thread, http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=470877, but being from 2011, at least the CA part is likely incomplete.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

That is only the CA signs, there are Federal signs as well.

Thanks. Thought the 4473 was 10. Apparently I was wrong.

                            FFL-03 Harassment

If others are in agreement, it would be very useful to have a thread where an FFL-03 that receives unusual or unwanted and/or unmerited attention from a government agency could share their experience. Some call the FFL-03 a loophole to get ammo direct from out of state. Alternatively, the FFL-03 has gone through a vetting processing and is entitled to the same privilege as an FFL-06 in (only) this regard. Either way, should government behavior change, we would all benefit from knowing this and prepare accordingly. Thanks.
