I suspect that since they made the list the ATF is there to check their paperwork. I'd bet that every gun store in America on that list will get a similar visit.
Yup, we had field agents here yesterday, they explained to me that it was because of the article in the Washington Post.

Let us know how it goes.
Looks like they are going to want to enforce multiple long gun purchases.

BBC said something about tracking people who buy multiple rifles, that rifles were the weapons of choice in the mexican drug trade.

Interesting...are they giving you instructions as to what process to use? Exactly like multiple handgun sales? is there a different form? Do we have to fax the form to the same numbers?

I'd pepper them with so many questions their heads would spin...and when they answer I'd say "is that in writing anywhere?"

I think there are dealers out there selling guns to Mexico. But 60 out of 29000 ... That just tells me some small time gangbangers are turn a couple hundred dollars of profit to support their drug habits !!!

It doesn't really matter if some of their firearms were found in MEXICO as long as they did their paperwork correctly and followed all regulations. After the firearm is sold the FFL has no control where it goes. The alternative is to stop selling to anyone that they think is of Mexican decent.

No form. Nothing official, just red flag signs like if a person purchases 3 or more of a single type rifle i.e. ar type, to call it in.

Rule # 1 in dealing with bureaucracy. Perception is reality. News article makes it appear that there is a problem. Visit by field agents and emergency legislation is an attempt to effect perception that ATF and DOJ are providing a solution. Our government spends a lot of time providing solutions to non-existent problems. Rule # 2. Never let the perception of a crisis go to waste.

Once you review the rules, the outcome is easily apparent.

                  "Call" it in?

Interesting that they didn't (yet) request that you use the multiple handgun purchase form.

Just call in every firearms purchase and overload them .

Sounds like time to purchase a dozen Red Rider BB guns.

Or they stole those guns from someone who bought it at this store initially, or from someone who bought it from someone who bought it at this gun store, and so on. The article was ridiculous, and enforcement based on it is ridiculous, as well. We're paying for this?
