or, he 'gets it' fine, and is trying to guide you/me/us down the primrose path.

either way, I say post up the email and circulate his name. he is dangerous.

Hopefully the FFLs on this forum don't take this approach. Part of your job as a good gun dealer is to educate people on the law. You will get all sorts of ignorant people come in and have no clue what the law really says and they are going to advocate all sorts of illegal activity. I take it as my duty to educate them.

I don't see these guys as undercover agents and I don't care if they are. My response is the same every time. I tell people what they are advocating is illegal, I inform them how they can comply with the law, and I be polite and tell them to ask if they have any more questions.

There is no need for a gun dealer to be paranoid and out trolls or any of this nonsense. If you follow the law for every single customer, everyone could be an agent and it won't change your business. A guy sending you an e-mail is only a threat if you like to illegally sell large capacity magazines (which technically isn't possible since

(b) Subdivision (a) does not apply to any of the following: (21) The sale or purchase of any large-capacity magazine to or by a person licensed pursuant to Section 12071.

Now if the guy manufactures them, you might be brought up on conspiracy charges. If you just sell him to them outright, no law was violated!

Personally I am not in a hurry to test that one out, but it is there.

With this statement right here I would not reply. Despite the legality does he really think that 5 magazines is a big purchase and vendors will be trying the beat each other back to this guy. 50 maybe but 5?

I am emailing several resellers with this same request and the first to respond that is willing to do this will get my business. Please contact me asap and let me know if your company is willing to fulfill this request.

Instead of being so detailed, if he would of simply just said:

Hi I need 5 Glock 17 REBUILT KITS.

Wouldn't he have had a better outcome?
