Why bother with an 01? The 07 confers all the privileges of the 01 plus manufacture of firearms (07) and ammo (06).

Do you need to keep two businesses separate?

I would never base my opinion on whether I get an FFL or not from a poll conducted in the Calguns FFL Forums. Synically speaking, I am going to answer no just so you are one less competitor. Realistically, many people like to talk a good game on Calguns. You could also get skewed results when guys hundreds of miles away want you to compete and they answer yes and will never, ever step foot in your house.

Either your area has a need and you think you might have the customers or you don't. Asking this forum for that answer is seriously flawed.

Have you talked to your local license issuing agency yet? If you can't get a business license out of your house, you are wasting your time. The DOJ will never approve you. The ATF will take your money and give you an FFL. It will be worthless at that address if you can't get a business license and the DOJ won't issue you a CFD number.

I can already think of the local business license issuing agency's response when you want to manufacturer firearms out of your home. It starts with an "H" and ends in "ellno". Hey maybe you live in a rural area and I am wrong. The point is you need to know before you go any further.

Ask some more questions. We will help you out.

Tax stamp? An SOT or your BOE retailers permit?

Did you send in for the COE yet? You should do that right now.

Once your FFL and COE show up, you can then send everything in to the DOJ and you can start DROSing.

        Cool.

It is done through the DOJ, but a different department than CFD. You have to have a COE number when you send in your packet for CFD.

Call Judy at 916-263-0295 for your COE info tomorrow. Here is the form.
