I have also posted this question in the C&R forum, but I thought some FFL's may have encountered this real life and could shed some insight.
I ask you 01FFL's what you would do if you had a PPT to 03FFL transfer of a Manhurhin Walther PP or PPK?
"I recently bought a 1950's production Manurhin Walther PP. I'm new to the C&R world and so I am learning as it goes.
I was looking at some other Manurhin Walther PP's and Saw some listed as 01FFL transaction and others as 03FFL. I looked at the ATF curios list and saw that all Walther, Model PP and PPK semiautomatic pistols, in all cal.’s, mfd. in France and marked "MANHURIN" are C&R.
I noted the spelling, so I looked more. I found pictures posted of pistols with MANURHIN stamped on them labeled MANHURIN. I never found an example of a pistol marked MANHURIN.
Is the ATF entry a misspelling? I havent found any mention of Manurhins that were mismarked Manhurin. "
