Don't know of any LEO stores out there, but as long as the FFL is licensed to do so, I think they can DROS it for you as an AW. So long as you have the agency letterhead that complies with the AW purchase requirement.

The ffl must be specifically licensed to sell AWs, regardless of any dept paperwork you have.

You already listed the only ones I know about.

              AR's

Why not just build your own? Every lower parts kit I have seen have the LEO mag release etc, It's like Legos for adults and a lot of fun to configure just the way you want it.

Addax. Last time I was there, Lolli told me that they had one.

Most, if not all LEO approved AWs are purchased firearms. There are far too many legal reasons for a LEO and the LO's LEA to not want individual officers to build their own duty weapons. Also, there's no special LEO mag release. It's just the regular mag release that many of us use on our featureless or rimfire non-AW ARs.

I'd stick with the Colt's, Bushy's, RRA's myself. Lots of good rifles, but I wouldn't to try and explain in court why my bad-arse GPU makes me a certified gun nut sniper.

I've owned an Addax GPU and damn that thing ran hot. Burned my arm more than once with it. Never had that issue on any other M4.

Yea, Its a regular mag release unless your rifle has a pistol grip and is center fired. Then for the rest of us non LEOs it is an unregistered assault weapon.
