    RIPA

How are your agencies dealing with RIPA? Looking like we are going to take paper on every damn stop and contact to meet the reqs. Fml.

I have heard murmurs of a set of codes to dispo on the cad or over the air, as well as or in addition to check boxes on the records copy of cites.

I'm not sure what RIPA even is so I guess we are not dealing with it at all.

It'll end up simple for us:

Arrest reports already contain all required information.
Citations already contain all required information.

Field Interview Cards will need to be updated with "Search?" yes/no/pc/consent boxes.

That's really about it for us.

So, in the real world, that means no one will give warnings anymore. They'll either choose not to stop the violator, or if they do, they'll sign 'em up.

Rumor is it'll only add an extra 2 minutes to each stop. They're just expanding a system we've used for years.
