Vegas: Number of Off Duty LEO/Fire Hit

Just heard that LEO/Fire from multiple agencies were hurt in Vegas. One off duty LVPD reportedly hit and killed. Four from my agency were there with their families but uninjured. They provided aid to the injured.

There's no words that I can say that adequately describes my Heart felt emotions, for the useless loss of lives and injuries to all that expierianced the horrors of last nite. If there were ever a time for Prayer, Now is the time.!

One is critical the other is awaiting surgery.

There were at least 80 LASD people there.

Crazy thing is I know the sergeant who was shot and all the crazy situations he has been in and this is when he take a bullet.

Prayers go out to all of them and for a speedy recovery to the Deputy and Sergeant who were shot.

Off duty San Bernardino County Sheriff Department Sgt was hit. Currently listed in critical but stable condition.

Sad day for those who were there and a sad day for America. Prayers already sent for all those hurt by this evil being.

Hopefully we as law enforcement and other first responders can learn from this incident and respond to future active shooter/mass casualty events even more effectively. The videos shot by bystanders unfortunately make great training videos for my cadets.... I think we are going to lose a few after watching their reactions to the videos while being told that when this happens here it will be their job and moral obligation to run to the gunfire and attempt to stop it/render aid

City of Ontario Police Ofcr Michael Gracia was shot at the incident in Vegas and is is serious condition. His wife Summer was also injured but not life threatening.
Has been with the PD here in my city for 4 years.
Our prayers are with him and his family.

SFPD officer's wife was killed. They got separated when he went to render aid to the injured.

Cdcr Lieutenant and wife were killed. Cdcr Sergeant was shot three times.

Damn. I wouldn't mention it in the other forums, but Ace Girl and I almost went to the Harvest Festival this year. We are big C&W fans. We normally lodge at Mirage.
