Does anyone know how many push-ups, sit-ups, etc for the physical test does a woman have to do to pass?

Depends on the departmentOriginally posted by JohnPLocalsOnly, is that a paid position? The oc reserves are volunteer only.Originally posted by epilepticninjaDude got winged, tell him to shake it off. Bunch of skirts these days.Comment

Some reserve peace officer positions will pay you. I know Pasadena PD reserve program will pay their reserves after they complete their 16 hours of monthly volunteer time. With all that goes on at the rose bowl and old town every weekend, they keep their reserves quite busy and they make a nice extra income. some of you guys that recently retired and your POST is still valid (and are missing dealing with homeless drunks that haven't showered in months) might want to look in to the Pasadena PD reserve program.A life is not important, except for the impact it has on other lives- Jackie RobinsonComment

This is encouraging to read, however I keep getting flustered per the military thing.Originally posted by DeusExMachina..........Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that lured away military personnel who might have been cops. ..............
The application process is too slow.
I got through an academy in 2008 when everyone was getting laid off. So I never got far in the process. I renewed my certificate, and POOF off to Afghanistan. So I had to cancel one application.
Then, I get back from AFG and start applying again, but was away for a month in S. Korea doing training, and guess what. ANOTHER interview came up and I had to decline that one too.
I solidified my commission as an officer in the USAR and had to go away for training in my new MOS, and the agency that I declined when I was in S. Korea called me again, and DAMN IT!!!!!!!!!! I'm in USAR training AGAIN. Then a week after them, ANOTHER agency called for an interview, but I'm still here in training.
So that's my greatest frustration. TIMING.
The USAR is the one thing I can't maneuver around to accommodate hiring agencies. Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.Comment
