Hey guys,
Many people have reached out to me about organizing a group buy for a Defense Distributed "Ghost Gunner" CNC mill. I was wondering if any of our legal hot shots see any issues with this. I am very interested and seriously looking into making this happen.
The idea is multiple calgunners pitch in for a single CNC machine. I know there have been shops doing build parties shut down in the past and other build parties shut down. And if I recall correctly, they were shut down for using other people's/business's machinery and G-Code (therefore "technically" not completing the process themselves). If everyone using the machine technically has part ownership of the mill and no money is being made, I don't see much of an issue. What do you guys think?
If everything passes the smell test and legally a green light then I am quite interested in making this happen.
Future SCC meet and greets would get a lot more fun with unlimited access to AR-15, AR-10, and 1911 milling.
--------
Update: A friend of mine and calgunner that I went to school with for CNC milling and machining is willing to do engraving for calgunners.
