Why one lifelong hunter is leading the charge for stricter gun control

Ben Carson just said on national TV:

"Let's put on the table -- what is the reason for the Second Amendment?" he said. "And, is there a reason that we need to change those things right now?"

Nice.

We do need to get back to the Second Amendment, as in repealing all weapons control laws in every jurisdiction. I'd like a lot of knife control laws repealed, for instance.

Typical Elmer Fudd type gun owner. There are bunches of those idiots. He can take his "part of the conversation" and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Elmer Fudd can eat a bag. The word hunting is not in the Bill of Rights. People like him and his anti-friends keep pushing and pushing infringements. One day people WILL start hunting, and it won't be animals.

It's a bigoted caricature that urban liberal elites have of the rest of America. Hunter = redneck = rayciss = Christian = NRA member = bitter-clinger-to-guns-and-Bible = Republican voter (now Trump voter) = the enemy.

I used to not believe this to be the case but recent conversation with some very intelligent cousins turned into exactly this and all did was point out some factaul errors in a neutral manner and suddenly the scripted floodgates of baggage gushed out of them.

My own family is now programmed robots spewing unmitigated garbage.
