I had a recent email exchange with a Republican candidate that was looking for my vote. I usually just ask them what their position is on gun control/2nd Amendment in a very benign manner and see if they have the balls to come right out and say what they stand for.
Almost all of them start out meekly that they are supportive of the Constitution and the Second Amendment and with the mental health/stronger background checks things, etc., issues. Right on the middle of the fence.
So I tell them that that's just not good enough for me since supporting the Constitution and the 2nd Amendment is not the same as protecting my rights. They usually come back openly after that and you get what they really mean.
This one came back with gusto:
NRA member, AR15 owner, etc. Anti-tax and illegal immigrants. Someone to take a look at.
