They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Realistically speaking the last viable Republican from CA who ran and won was Ronald Reagan. This state is too far gone IMO. Look what happened when we had the Terminator for Gov. Little to nothing.

CA is a one party State for all intents and purposes.

Realistically... because of how they changed how the primary works in CA, it'll be between Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom and former LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
^According to the mainstream media, the race will be between them.

We need to find a black pro-gun republican that is willing to change his name to Barack Obama. That would be an easy win in this state.

                  Bingo.

Any member of Calguns has as much of a chance of actually winning as Travis.

You ask if we have any hope with the GOP in the next gubernatorial race -
Have we had any hope with them in the recent history of CA on any level?

We're so F******* next year it's not even funny.

There is no chance of a Republican being on the ballot. The state of California has effectively removed any other party that will make the ballot than a Democrat.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

The problem is the lack of candidates on the gop side that would appeal to Democrats.
