    CA FFL are anti ar-15?

    Hello guys.
I went to an FFL dealer here the Stockade, in ORange County. The staff there seem professional and their inventory was outstanding.

I didn't like the fact they they don't stock ar-15's even the CA DOJ approved ones

Is this a common thing here in CA???

Yes. It's been a little over more than two and a half years since the OLL movement took off and most dealers in CA still don't want to deal with them. Luckly we have outstanding dealers who have been supporting the addiction since from the beginnig, from So Cal all of the way to Nor. Cal.

I see both sides of the story
the FFL dealer doesn't want bad vibe from paranoid liberals,
but they should support the 2nd amendment 100%. Their "fear" of stocking legal firearms seems counterproductive to our cause, the 2nd amendment.

their number one goal should be to make money the number two goal is to provide a place for people to buy firearms

those goals would be impossible being that the doj's policy is to allow any one of the 58 DAs to interpret the rules in any way they please

i cannot thank the brave stores enough they are doing a public service above and beyond the first 2 goals but to some the risk is not worth the reward

It's one thing if an FFL doesn't wanna carry 'em outta choice.

It's another thing if they spread BS about illegality, "grey area", etc.

That's why I hold Evan's Gunsmithing in such contempt, esp as they use that drama to support their overpriced welded crap and waved the "Iggy letter".

I was at Ammo Brothers this morning. They had a variety of semi-automatic rifles on display and seemed to be doing brisk business. It was quite a change from the gun shops I saw a few years ago.

There are no DOJ approved AR-15s. "AR-15" is listed by name on our AWB.

If you mean AR style rifles, many do not want to take the risk.

The guys at the stockade are cool. Some come and send people to J&J. Most the guys wish the owner would start selling OLL's because they get asked a bunch. Its not the guys behind the counters choice though.

I am not complaining, but it is said to see a FFL scared to sell something that is in high demand.
They almost seemed scared even to talk about it.
Bushmaster makes a CA legal ar-15 SPECIFICALLY for CA. I would think since Bushmaster is standing behind that claim, it would be a safe bet.
