This. Will LEO's stand up and say "Exemptions aren't good enough for me and my brethren. Everyone deserves hi cap mags, so either let everyone have them or let none have them"? I doubt it. LEO's might have a dog in this fight right now, but I don't see them sticking around when they get what they want/

Peace Officers and Retired Peace Officers are our natural allies in this fight. We need to welcome them. All of us who own, or wish to own firearms are in the same boat. The goal of those we are fighting is to divide us, and incrementally, baby step by baby step, continue until we are all disarmed.

Unless we realize this and hang together, we will all hang separately.

Our legislators will get their agenda through regardless of what the 'rules' are. They make the rules and the laws as they see fit to further their end game, and will amend and change whatever they want to accomplish that, regardless.

The thing that really irritates me is that Steve Strull seems to only be concerned about retired law enforcement. There is zero concern about the citizens of this state.

While I agree with the sentiment that LEOs should not be a protected class, I think many LEOs are merely at the mercy of the unions. They have no choice but to join, and whether or not they agree with what the unions do is irrelevant to to them most of the time.

LEOs really need to start paying attention to what the unions do, because I do think for the most part, at least those officers that aren't in the upper ends of the political game that is played, don't agree with what these unions do. Problem is they like the support the union offers in terms of pay and benefits and often aren't willing to do anything for fear of losing that. It's a shame.

I agree...the California LEO community has abandoned the RKBA /2nd amendment becuase they always were a "special class" and thought they were above it... well they arent and it is about time that they begin to pay the price for all thier apathy and selling the rest of us down the river.

In fact, without the endosements and campaign contributions of LOE unions statewide, all these weak on crime/pro felon democrats would never get elected or reelcted. The CA LEO community has selfishly voted their wallets and not the constitution.

Agreed, I would take this a step further. I don't think LEO retired or NOT should be allowed anything we are not. I'm not a cop basher, I have friends that are in LE and I think they should have all the tools necessary to do their jobs and come home safely, but I also believe that WE should have the same tools to live our lives and come home safely.

If they need the weapons to fight some 'war in the streets' then we need them as well because we are also in the SAME streets!

Where does it say in the constitution that separate classes of citizens have more rights than others? Listen up nazis, there is a reason there isn't!!!

I didn't vote for him, but I told him in the email that he needs to quit wasting tax payer dollars on bills like SB396.

I informed him that he needs to get back to his job and he can start by authoring bills to fix the economy and job market.

I can't believe that these Government workers are getting hounded everyday to fix gun control and not getting hounded to fix the economy or job market!

As far as I am concerned, if this passes, I am going on a mission to try and get everyone at my church, every teacher my wife is friends with, and every Government worker I know to not vote for him next election!

The reason why I posted this was to show we are the same as eveyone else. But reality is (was) we are/were capacity exempt. For them to change that shows how phychotic things are getting. I'm very serious about not being treated differently just cause I chose a certain profession, so knock the chips off your shoulders, we're all in this together.

This being Calguns i'm sure many have already called you out on this, but i didn't want to pass this up. So they are only psychotic when they come after you, but when they did it to us lowly non leo's it was cool?? and we have a chip on our shoulder?
