Ooops! I have not looked at a 4473 in a while. Lots of info on there. How is it that we don't have rifle registration in this state? Is it because only dealers keep the 4473?

If the answer to the last question is 'yes', then the bill only stipulates universal registration if the following is also true...

Call me crazy, but I'd prefer the rest of the country not become California when it comes to adopting bad laws. In the rest of the country, if the anti's are to be believed, "40% of gun purchases don't go through a background check (4473)" Which makes that 4473 paper trail pretty hard to follow after its left the first FFL.

"Sorry Mr. Government guy... I sold that gun years ago in a recordless PTP transfer." ("No problem Mr. Gun Owner, that's a Felony, let's go.")
