Is it a loaded magazine-clip, or just a loaded magazine?

There is no problem with having a loaded magazine, unless you are a felon or gang member. There are some stipulations about loaded magazines that come into play, but again only if you are a felon or gang member.

Otherwise a loaded magazine is just that.

It's illegal if you have a loaded magazine-clip and a shoulder thing that goes up.

Depends, is the magazine being carried by a chicken?

well if you drop a load before you cross the road, by the time you reach the other side you will feel 10 lbs lighter.

If you haven't seen it with your own eyes,
or heard it with your own ears,
don't make it up with your small mind,
or spread it with your big mouth.

                  And onion rings ...

But, to get back to the question, as cdtx2001 notes, unless you are engaged in armed criminal action or are part of a street gang, a loaded magazine with an unloaded gun should be no problem.
