VERY. Carry that if jail sounds like fun. Especially now that you posted this, that's MORE than they need.

With 58 DAs you'ld get 58 felony convictions! and, they'll take away your quarters so you can't do your laundry for your trial.

Well, the "jolly roger" emblem probably won't help either.

If you carry around a sock with rolls of nickles or quarters and have indicated you'd use it as a weapon (sap) then you're likely to find yourself prosecuted if they find you. Making a leather carrier for it is just gilding the lily for the DA.

Now, on the other hand, if you create a coin carrier configured to let you neatly carry and access coins for bridge tolls (and you cross a bridge frequently) that's legal.

Note that it's also illegal to carry around a "bludgeon type" instrument. If you carry a Lousiville slugger 'cuz someone might want to play a little ball, it's legal. If you tell people you carry it to bash "a trouble-maker", you get to inspect your tax dollars supporting the local jail.

That's a flashlight.... But if you hit someone with it who is raping your wife, it's a felony. Welcome to Kalifornialand.

According to the manufacturer it's also a weapon, and a "sap". Not even a "sap glove", but an actual "sap". Clearly, anyone who one own one is terrifyingly dangerous.

If you hit someone with it, you will be charged with "assault with batteries".

Carry the gun. Penalty is less severe.
                      Easy arrest and prosecution.

Canadians have sap pockets because up there, they prefer $1 and $2 coins rather than printed money (loonie and twonie). One always knows if they are in Canada or not based upon the weight of coins in their pockets.

What bridge in California has a toll less than $4?!

Don't know about bridges, (maybe some of the smaller Delta bridges?)
but toll roads in OC have tolls as low a 50 cents.
