Idea for 2012 Parades
As I watch the Rose Bowl parade on TV today after yesterday watching the Philadelphia Mummer's parade, I remembered something mentioned in two different places for the same purpose which might be something CGF/CGN might attempt for the coming year. My local gun club has a rather extensive and prestigious history and among its past involvements was having its own marching band. I recall also that CGF/CGN has participated in a few parades there to get out the message to folks. Has there been any effort at any time to put together a Calguns marching band? I'd imagine we've got a few people (including myself, though I'm not located in California anymore) here who have played an instrument or two at some point or another.
Just a thought, since we need every possible means to get involvement and exposure.
