A Call To Action For NRA Members In California's 24th District from NRA-ILA
On Thursday, October 13, 2011, the House Judiciary Committee will mark up the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act (H.R. 822). As you may know, H.R. 822 would allow any law-abiding concealed carry permit holder to legally carry a concealed firearm in any state that does not prohibit concealed carry. Currently, 49 states have some form of concealed carry (Illinois does not have concealed carry).
The NRA is asking its members in the 24th congressional district to contact Congressman Elton Gallegly. Please thank him for cosponsoring this important legislation, urge him to vote for Congressman Trent Franks' Manager's Amendment, and to oppose all other amendments. Currently, 245 members of the U.S. House of Representatives are cosponsors of H.R. 822. (Find a list of the current cosponsors here)
