Is it OK to bring a disassembled 30 round AR15 magazine into CA?

Would it be OK for me to bring the parts (magazine body, follower, spring, and floorplate) of my 30 round "high capacity" magazine into the state of CA, provided they are disassembled from the start and remain that way the entire time they are in CA? From what I've read it seems this would be OK, but I want to be sure.

FYI I'm currently in Alaska with my AR-15. That means NO BULLET BUTTON! :-D (And it was my former 10/30 magazine that underwent surgery and is now operating as it was meant to be used.)

Thanks...yeah I have used the search several times (always the advanced search because the default one turns up the most random and almost entirely unrelated results), which is where I sort of concluded that it would be OK to bring parts.

Yes. It would be called a "rebuild kit" at that point.

Don't listen to anyone that tells you to use the search button - it sucks so bad that it's completely unusable.

              Side note:

Any magazine over 10 rounds that finds it's way into a CA- legal AR magazine well while said rifle is in the state, turns that legal AR into an instantly ILLEGAL assault weapon. Just FYI.

And I'm assuming you already know the whole bullet button score, as well as the "named AW receiver" ban.

Really? I thought featureless rifles were ok.

Yes I am fully aware of the 10 round restriction and bullet button and all (unless it is a featureless rifle). ;-) I did my homework before I even seriously considered buying an AR-15.

Certainly there is an exception to that rule for featureless rifles.

But it would be awfully curious for someone from Alaska to own a fully featureless AR. Not impossible... just very very rare IMHO.

Um, no, it wouldn't. It really doesn't matter where you are from.
