The Second Amendment is the one right that is so fundamental that the inability to exercise it, should the need arise, would render all other rights null and void. Dead people have no rights.

Oh get off it. Look what you've done, given us a thread of people posting inane crap like the sky is falling. Over 1/3 of the Supreme Court Justices don't have experience prior, most recently William Rehnquist. http://mediamatters.org/blog/201005100018 Apparently the republic hasn't functioned for a couple hundred years.sigpicComment

I think we need to put these rumors to rest once and for all. Brave have it on good advice that SCOTUS nominee Kagan is dating Senator Lindsey Graham. This should put those Janet Napolitano rumors to rest once and for all.

Trivia question, which Republican Senator said this?
"When President Bill Clinton nominated Stephen Breyer and Ruth Bader Ginsberg to serve on the high court, I voted for their confirmation, as did all but a few of my fellow Republicans. Why? For the simple reason that the nominees were qualified, and it would have been petty, and partisan, and disingenuous to insist otherwise. Those nominees represented the considered judgment of the president of the United States. And under our Constitution, it is the president's call to make."Making guns illegal is as stupid as making drugs or prostitution illegal.Comment
