Limit the number of handguns residents can register to one per month and prohibit residents from having more than one handgun in operating order at any given time.

I just read this and all I have to say is I may become a lawyer because of all the lawsuits that will be generated in every city across the US. Daley is and always wil be a moron.

This quote right here shows how well criminals pay attention to his self righteous opinion:

Since the law that made it illegal was found to be unconstitutional, I don't think they could get away with convicting people under it any more.

Subject to seeing the final regs things don't look too crazy. The 1 register per 30 is a version of our one handgun in 30 days law. From what I understand if you move in you can register all you own. Also, you can have one operable handgun loaded per adult in the household and as many as you want locked up. I don't like the training and registration but I'm not so sure their unconstitutional versus just bad public policy.

Reregistration fees and no FFLs in Chicago however...

That one operable per adult thing really bothers me. Well, all of it bothers me but that in particular. What if a single guy lives in a two story house and he wants one upstairs and one downstairs?
