Will the 1986 FOPA Hughes amendment ever be repealed?

    Yes, that MAC-10 may only be worth $500, but now they can buy a new stuff made/designed after 1986. Such as a M249 for $4000, M16s for less than a grand. How bout all the new stuff like the SCAR, Masada, etc?

    The market pricing of "collector" guns will not take as big a hit as the pricing for "shooter" gun since you can't just make another mint original 1928 Tommy Gun with the history it has.
    I posed this question over at 1919A4.com because I know there are a number of FA owners there. I was amazed that so far, no one has opposed the idea of repealing the Hughes amendment for exactly the reasons you've stated.
