    Modifying AR15

Due to an injury, I have not shot my two AR15s since 2003. One is a Bushmaster DCM (?) that I used to shoot in CMP matches and another is a Bushmaster carbine. I purchased them in 1999, and have registered them as an "assault weapon" prior to 2003 (forgot the year, but they are legit!).

    Questions:
    1) Did I miss any more registrations after 2003?
    2) Since there is no more federal assault weapon ban, can I now modify my two AR15s to have telescoping stocks and a threaded muzzle flash?

    Thanks much for any information.

You can do anything with them as long as you don't make an NFA item (no short barrel rifles or making your rifle in to a pistol).

    Have fun.

        Go wild!

You have a responsibility, as a RAW (Registered Assault Weapon) owner to make your rifles as "evil" as possible.

And the unfortunate responsibility of locking the hell out of it and only transporting it straight to the range and back until we challenge that...

Ah the price we pay to run around and drop 30rd mags like it's going out of style...

            Please read the Calguns Wiki
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.
