LA County and/or city restricts M16 bolt carriers? FUD or truth?

On the phone with Y/M today, they mentioned that they cannot ship full auto carriers to LA city and/or county.

I'm trying to find any applicable law that would support that claim.

Is this FUD, or actually truth? If truth, can you please cite the relevant code?

Knowing LA, it sounds very believable

Also, if this is the truth, what does that mean for Black Rifle owners in LA that currently use FA carriers? What if I take my gun with a FA carrier inside it up to Burro Canyon to shoot since it's in LA county?

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

Sound like FUD to me. . . Unless they are the only ones not allowed to.
Nothing to see here. . . Move along.

This question has come up before and as I recall its the fire control parts, not the BCG thats restricted, but then again, they can have any company policy they want.

Can you cite any actual codes restricting the fire control parts? I'm talking about LA City and/or County specifically, not State.

Youngs Mfg must be using Sportsmen's Guide and Cheaper-Than-Dirt for legal info.

That seems odd when Young shipped my F/A bcg in March and Bravo shipped me theirs last week. I live in mid-city which is a few miles from downtown.
