LA Times calls for more gun control laws

For example, if the interviewing LE gets a weird vibe even though everything else is okay.

When CA starts recognizing LTCs from other states, then it's for real.

"which cannot be adequately dealt with by existing law enforcement resources" I don't suppose you can respond to this by pointing out that after the police are defunded there won't be any 'adequate' police resources available?

I halfway feel like that may be what he's alluding too. He can also use it as a bargaining chip with the board; "Cut my budget too much and I'll start handing out CCWs like candy" kind of thing. It may be too little too late, but if he starts something now it'll be somewhat easier later. No matter what he does, hes going to be flooded by applications, at least he realizes he's gonna be hit by a **** storm. When Ventura changed their stance in 2014 the wait time was a year from App drop off to issue. I literally waited 11 Months and 28 days for my licence.

That's a state issue, not a county issue. I don't see the legislature doing anything like that, ever.

Forgive me Mike but the purpose of not issuing CCWs is to protect the criminal against his intended victim.

The criminal already does not fear the police, courts or jail. His only fear is an armed victim, so of course big city political cops want more crime, because it helps advance their budgets !

Did anyone else notice how cops stood down while Santa Monica was burned and looted?

Its obvious anyone wanting a CCW should move to a republican county or state !

So counter-intuitive but it does make sense. With many bad policies or bad decisions in general you have to ask, is it ignorance or malevolence. Your example of a financial motivation shows malevolence. Which is in line with the long standing financial barrier to getting a CCW. The other argument is that they think fewer handguns on the street means less crime. Or they just don't trust citizens and they see armed citizens as a threat.

But this is why I'm thinking if they don't trust us, why not then maybe the testing harder? Is there a test that would give the LAPD confidence in the people who pass it? I know what I'm saying is raising the blood pressure of the 2A Purists. I'm just trying to find a middle ground where we have lost all rights to carry.

Mike is the reason why we have no rights. He thinks we can negotiate with terrorists.

                  Mike - you disgust me.

Any testing for CCWs is a violation of the human right to self defense. You want testing? How about tests for voting. Constitution. Bill of Rights. Let's make it English only and hard.

They only have to move to a CA county where the sheriff readily issues CCWs (Light or Dark Green counties in map below). Two years ago CA passed 120,000 CCWers. Since then, Sonoma Co went from Dark Red to Dark Green, so that's only increased (i.e., no counties went more restrictive).

Harsh words from someone who doesn't realize you get a CCW under CA state statutory law, not the federal Con's BoRs. This year we were hoping to have SCOTUS decide what Right to Bear Arms we have under the 2nd A, but earlier this month they decided to NOT decide that issue.

Unless Trump wins reelection and the GOP holds the Senate, we're ----ed. But if they do that and 1 or more anti leaves the Court, we should be golden.

Yes. I have my CCW under state law. AND, that is a violation of the constitution. We have the right to keep and bear arms WITHOUT any piece of paper. The state and federal laws in this country are a violation of that fact.

Our problem is that gun owners have mentally accepted their lies and they think they can negotiate with demoncrat terrorists. You can't. They want you disarmed.

If Trump loses, they are coming for everything. Get ready.
