Now, I am just trying to provide information to the reasonable bystanders while simultaneously taking my frustration your unreasonableness has caused me out on you.

Although, assuming you are truly pro gun, and I will take your word that you are, I think now is time to stop the bickering. We have a formidable common enemy. For the last time, I'm blaming the NRA for their lack of action after our 1st AWB which caused our 2nd to come to fruition. And their lack of action for the Sullivan Act which does not allow you to possess a handgun with just a NICS check. You need a carry permit that are far and few in-between.

Blaming the Democrat's is granted. But an inaction on an organization who did nothing is the 2nd blame.

And once again, nothing is for the FIRST AWB and not the Unsafe Act. One caused the other.

It is perfectly acceptable to speak your mind about any organization, including the NRA. What is not acceptable is making statements like "NRA does nothing in California" or "NRA has abandoned California" and then when people point out that NRA does quite a bit, either run and hide or point to other problems they have with the NRA.

If you don't think NRA is doing enough or doing things properly, you are entitled to that opinion. I am just making sure people have facts they may not be aware of before reaching that opinion. If you said: "I read post# 16 of this thread above and am just not impressed" or "I think NRA's strategy of doing x is just wrong and I can't support it" (assuming "x" is actually NRA's strategy), then you will have nothing more from me than a friendly debate.

The only person I called a name (and really didn't call them one, just asked which one they were) is someone who came in after all the posts here showing what NRA does in CA and against the NY SAFE Act and said: NRA has abandoned CA and didn't do anything about the NY SAFE Act.

That statement is incorrect as a matter of fact. So, either he was too lazy to read the thread before commenting (and thus ignorant) or he is a liar who wants to spread anti-NRA propaganda.

Read my posts over the years here and see if I ever call anyone names.

The NRA is the largest and most powerful pro gun organization we have. BUT, that does not mean they can/will win every fight they enter in to. That also does not mean that they will take on every single anti gun law that is put forth. Like it or not, they have attorneys and advisers to decide whether or not to take on certain legislation. I am also sure they do not have unlimited funds.

Not to mention we (CA & NY) are in two of the most hostile, anti gun environments in America. And their strategies are effective; push as much anti gun legislation as possible and hope most will stick. You just do not see this in pro gun states so when something may come along, it is much easier to combat. That is why you do not have folks en mass in ID, MT, TX, etc, complaining that the NRA has done nothing for them.

Support who you want, do not support who you want. It is your choice. But to say that the NRA has done nothing for CA or NY is just disingenuous.

That's what they do here. They may not see your point or see it but don't agree with it so they bash you and when you bring up other points they say you move goal posts and are incapable of learning.
