I haven't seen any progress in overturning NY's ammo law, or even a line of ammo sellers waiting their turn at the court house. Face it, retailers are in the business to retail stuff. If they can set up their stores to comply with the law AND make a profit selling ammunition, then they will. Otherwise they will point their resources elsewhere that has profit potential."As soon as we burn 'em," Chinn said, "more come in."

The only upside to this ammo bill is for the CA LGS.
I hope they start stocking up on C&R and hard to find ammo.Comment

That discussion came up at work today, I believe that they will stop selling ammo as many of the their employees (at all levels) don't have the intellect to manage the reporting and checking requirements.
After all, they habitually failed at being able to count to ten.Frank

What about the requirement that the FFL must accept online orders for ammunition and be able to store it for up to 30 days, for $10? And the FFL's are already complaining about PPT's.Comment

I doubt they will, never the same employee at the counter twice and training all the employees is well, no they won't"A free people ought to be armed" George Washington, 1790

I don't think that they are required to do so. It's just that if they offer the ammo receiving service the max charge is 10 bucks. I really doubt that any will offer this service. A lot more $ to be made just selling ammo at a 100% markup or more.
To the original question, Wal-Mart sales will end.

"30364. (a) The sale, delivery, or transfer of ammunition may only occur in a face-to-face transaction with the seller, deliverer, or transferor being provided bona fide evidence of identity from the purchaser or other transferee, provided, however, that ammunition may be purchased over the Internet or through other means of remote ordering if an ammunition vendor in this state initially receives the ammunition and processes the transfer in compliance with this article, Article 3 (commencing with Section 30345), and Article 4 (commencing with Section 30355). An ammunition vendor is required to promptly and properly process those transactions. An ammunition vendor may charge a fee to process the transfer not to exceed ten dollars ($10) per transaction. An ammunition vendor is not required to house ammunition orders longer than 30 days."I don't think that they are required to do so.
