I wanted to take my "weapons of mass destruction" to another state where they are just "rifles" but I got a good job now and family here. Darn it.
Because an armed populace, the majority of whom are lovers of freedom and liberty, will stand in the way of their socialist utopia. They must be disarmed.

Yeah, it was really frustrating to see Gipson get up there and say that a bullet button makes a rifle fully automatic.

And even more frustrating was that none of the opposition went back up there to refute his BS.

I would be willing to bet that at least half of the Assembly had no idea what the hell he was talking about. (Just like he didn't)

And these people are voting on what might (or will) become law for us based on that kind of nonsense ? That is truly pathetic, and maddening.

Being corrupt as CA is, it's probably time to figure out and applying leverage points be it bribes, blackmail, payoffs, etc. to ensure passage.

His comments that taking off a bullet button makes a rifle full auto is now public record, add this lie and many of the other lies to the ammo stash for civil suits against them.

If so inclined, call or email a Federal agency knowledgeable in firearms and ask them if they can confirm ASM Gipson's statement that removing a magazine lock/bullet button will convert a semi auto rifle to full auto. If for some God-forsaken reason they answer yes, ask them how the mag release, which on an AR, makes no physical contact to the disconnector/sear/hammer and is not even inside the receiver on an AK, can possibly prevent the hammer from being caught.

So it sounds like measures and bills are being passed on the basis of fraud and lies...and on record. I don't know anything about law, but there has to be something there there for a lawsuit, no?

I did. Panic buying is a very short-sighted, knee-jerk response. These bills are not law, so there is nothing to worry your little head over. The time to worry is when these bills are signed into law. In the meantime, do your part by taking new shooters to the range, writing to the governor, and voting for city and state representatives that represent your best interests.

Somebody should create a video with a featureless rifle that has a BB installed.

Shoot a couple mags, holding the trigger for a couple of seconds after each shot to show it is not full auto.

Then take off the BB and shoot a couple more mags, holding the trigger after each shot for a couple of seconds then slowly release to reset to prove that the gun is not full auto as Gipson claims.

Email a link to the vid to all the CA Senate & ASMs to show clear as day that Gipson is a lying POS.

But the dems already know it's lies.. they are fine with lies if it furthers their agenda of govt control

I only see one way this state will ever be reset to sanity.. I'm sad that I will eventually have to move out of the state I was born in..

Welcome to the official website of the California State Assembly.

Click on the bill then click the votes banner at the top. It was a Party line vote.
