Do we have a main online petition?

I want to start spreading the word online, is there one dedicated petition to stop CA gun control? We need to get organized and get some momentum going.

We all need to be spreading the word or we will have to abandon this state.

Thanks for raising awareness on our 2A crisis. Wow, I couldn’t find a good online petition, either. Hopefully others will post up with better success. Meanwhile, I’ve resorted to “liking” Facebook pages of our California Pro-2A organizations:

Petitions are entirely useless unless you have majority support.

Online petitions are worth the paper they're printed on.

Some gun orgs can use printed petition/survey results as PR against
specific antigun bills - their lobbyists carry boxes of them into legislative meetings, governor's office etc. as "backup", demonstrative of their
support. This may have some effectiveness, but it is over & above
the existence of actual petition itself.

Our movement is so messed up.

No one thinks anything is worth doing so nothing gets done. Petitions don't do anything writing letters don't do anything bla bla bla. We need to do something

The only hope a minority has against the tyranny of the majority is the court system.

In CA, however, that is unilaterally run by Chief Judge Thomas in the 9th, who will do whatever he can, by whatever means necessary, to make private gun ownership illegal for everybody but the ruling elite.

It seems he has almost complete unchecked personal power in that regard.

The politician's syllogism, also known as the politician's logic or the politician's fallacy, is a logical fallacy of the form:
                1. We must do something
                2. This is something
                3. Therefore, we must do this.

                1. We must do something
                2. Signing an online petition is something
                3. Therefore, we must sign an online petition

Gun controllers suffer from the same illogical thinking:
                1. We must do something to reduce mass shootings
                2. Requiring more background checks is something
                3. Therefore, we must require more background checks (while ignoring the fact that most mass shooters passed a background check when they bought guns)

You need to do something that has a chance of producing some meaningful improvement of your situation. Online petitions don't do that.

The few victories that California gun owners have had have been in the courts and from Gov. Brown vetoing some of the worst gun control laws that breeze through the California Legislature. Online petitions have no effect on those things.
                Revolvers are not pistols

pistol nouna handgun whose chamber is integral with the barrel
Calling a revolver a "pistol" is like calling a magazine a "clip", calling a shotgun a rifle, or a calling a man a woman.

Online petitions are for soccer moms and Facebook addicts.
