Well if this illegal crap passes I'll be willing to take some of those EBR's off your hands, I could probably round up fifty bucks or so for each one.
In a state where corruption abounds, laws must be very numerous.

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

Get ready for some jail time. Or maybe acute lead poisoning as well. There is no fight to be fought here. I'll continue saying what I've been saying all along: there is no fight here. It's over. We lost. We are vastly, VASTLY out outvoted by leftists. It's not even close. There is nothing we can do to stop it, this state is a lost cause. It's not going to get better, it's going to get worse, as a tidal wave of ready made Dem voters flood into this country with their hands out for all the freebies.

California is not now nor has it ever been my home. You can stay here and spend the rest of your life tilting at windmills, sans 2A rights. I will be getting out as soon as I can.

If the ****ers actually prosecuted criminals who use guns while committing crimes, *that* would be common sense....

I really didn't want to use the ar mr2, but I bought several and will probably use them if I have to. I don't think it's being made anymore but it may be time for them to start up production again.

              (d) For purposes of this section, the following definitions shall apply:
              (1) "Detachable magazine" means an ammunition feeding device that can be removed readily from the firearm without disassembly of the firearm action.
              (2) "Fixed magazine" means an ammunition feeding device contained in, or permanently attached to, a firearm in such a manner that the device cannot be removed without disassembly of the firearm action.

Also has provisions for people who lawfully acquired "assault weapons" prior to 12/31/2016 to register them, by 7/1/2018.

If I'm reading this properly... This re-opens assault weapon registration, with bullet button rifles eligible. If you own a registered, legal assault weapon, it's legal to have a traditional magazine release on it, right?

                See Kestryl's post. Or:

SAN FRANCISCO - Today, Attorney General Kamala D. Harris and Assemblymember David Chiu announced legislation to close the “bullet button” loophole. This loophole enables a firearm owner to use a bullet or other pointed object to quickly detach and replace a weapon’s ammunition magazine, converting a rifle into a semi-automatic assault weapon. An individual can switch magazines on a gun with a bullet button within seconds. This bill would expand the classification of assault weapons to include semi-automatic center fire rifles, which are capable of accepting detachable magazines.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

So is this going to be a rehash of SB47 again?

Let's hope the authors of AB1664 end up where the SB47 guy went... hint, his name rhymes with "Yee".

Hmmm... ARs with .22LR uppers are then OK, right?

But that Mini 14 or that M1 carbine are now assault weapons?

As usual, they haven't really thought this through.

If black lives matters can shut down streets so can we.
If occupy can camp out so can we.

Are you willing to take up arms against Law Enforcement? Because that's what is will eventually come to.

I will exhaust every avenue before I resort to applying the intent of the 2nd amendment, but if it comes to that end be assured I will not fight fair.

I really hope ideas to side step these bills are not thrown around the site. The last thing we need is for them to tweak the bills going through the committee's while they monitor us.
