If you've got a pulse, show up, pay attention and listen to the instructor, you'll pass.

Granted, I took my hunter's ed. class as a kid nearly 25 years ago, but I'm sure you'll do fine.

My 9 year old daughter missed one when she took the test.

The test is geared so that children can pass, if that gives you an indication. The test is common sense, not to be that guy but, if you don't pass, you shouldn't be in the field hunting.

        You should have no problems.

agreed with all of the above. I passed at 10 years old. Like any all day course it's probably going to get monotonous but the main things are gun safety as one accident can kill or maim.

I studied this and took the 4 hr class, aced the test and was out the door.
Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

The U.S. city with the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, Washington, D.C., has the highest murder rate at 24 per 100,000.
The state with the most unrestrictive gun regulations, Vermont, has the lowest murder rate at 0.48 per 100,000.

You had only a 4 hr course? Mine was 8 hrs, and all day, back in the day.

You go online and take the precertification course and take their test then pay like 30 bucks or something I can't remember but you get a certificate from them then you go to a 4hr review class and take the actual test. Its really quite simple.

13 hours!?!? Holy cow, all in one day, there has to be something wrong there. Like everyone has said, it is pretty simple stuff but typically they go over alot of common sense stuff and the basic rules/laws of hunting. Just from the basic do's and don'ts that they cover it is well worth attending, aside from the fact that it is mandatory if you want to hunt. Nothing worse than spending time and money on mandated b.s. that is just a bunch of mindless, fell good, b.s.

It's hard. The easiest question I can think of when taking the hunting test was this one:

                    (show all work)
                    V2o5(s) + H2(g) ---> V2O3(s) + H2O(l)

Lol. Jk. It's common sense questions like:

What direction should a gun be pointed?
                    A. North
                    B. Up
                    C. Down
                    D. In a safe direction
                    E. All of the above.

I actually found hunters ed to be pretty interesting.
They talk a lot about the ethics of hunting and how hunters have to set the good example to the public about the sport we engage in.

Definitely changed my perspective on hunting, I never knew there was a whole philosophy and set of ethics behind it.

                      You'll have a fun time!

The test at the end was a joke, don't worry about it!

All tests are diffcult when you don't know the material.

Read the handbook, read it again, pay attention, and pass.
