    Lead-free / Non-toxic Ammo

Hey everybody I would like to know where I can find lead-free or non-toxic ammunition for hunting in the condor zone in 7.62x39. I have an AR in this caliber and would like to use it for wild hog hunting. Thank you in advance, my google-fu is lacking a bit tonight.

    Try here.

Manufacturer of precision ultra-high performance ammunition. Direct Sales of custom ammo.

Or try Ammo Bros. They make their own 7.62x54R, so they will probably have the 7.62x39 as well. All of the above are topped with Barnes TSX

You can also buy copper /non lead bullets, and reload them. Find somebody local with the dies if you don't have them. Dies run about $30.

Midway lists several .310" bullets from Barnes that should work well.

I knew I saw it somewhere... After a bit of digging, I found the article about reloading the 7.62x39. It's in the Feb 2011 issue of Guns and Ammo magazine... You can probably find it online, or maybe it's still in the news stands.

Thanks I actually have the issue sitting on my desk. Good thing I picked it up last month and didn't throw it out yet.

Really not much to the article, but it does give some load info. It's on my list of dies to eventually purchase. But I was thinking more anit-Zombie rounds, as opposed to boar rounds... ;-)
