    Spooky!

I got this in an email yesterday from my BIL. If real it's pretty damn scary considering how brazen that cat is!

    EDIT: It's a fake!!!

    Wow. Spooky is right.

I am seeing and hearing, more and more about Cat sightings. Most of the Cats I see pics of today, are around that size. What is more scary is, I have seen photos of Cats hanging from back in the day, when Cattlemen first brought herds here, when Cattlemen were trying to protect their herds from predation, and those Cats were about three to four times larger, than the Cat in the pic.

Which is exactly why from now on when I hunt I will be carrying my .44 Magnum sidearm with me at all times. The guy in the picture does not even seem to be aware of the cat's presence. YIKES!

So, so paste up. I don't think the cat has it's feet placed on the ground in a natural way. If it were a black cat, given the season,....

If it's photo shopped, it's pretty good, because the branch coming from the bush on left, is in front of the cats head, and the surrounding area looks natural.

We were recovering a hog we had just shot on FHL a couple years back when a cougar came in to the squealing and thrashing pig. We had to let down about 200 feet of rope to get this big hog up the hill and we left our rifles at the truck. Of course it was just getting dark and we only had our skinning knives out when the cat started circling us. Fun times.

I was out by a little place called Dunn just out of Yermo varmint hunting a few years back and called in a nice cat it came up out of the Mojave river bed right up on to the R&R tracks. it was the coolest thing ever besides being buzzed by Owls.

Another way to tell is to look at the slope of the picture. It's downhill from left to right but the stance that the cat has is as if he was standing on a downhill slope from right to left, which you can see in the original cat pic.

I saw a big cat the other day while I was heading into a fishing spot. I was in my little pickup but I was still glad I had a gun with me.
