Walking the trail with doggy, and see a doe on one side and a small buck on the other...Grab a dead branch and start rattling/scraping a large bush...small buck stayed in the brush, but this guy popped out behind us about 15 yards...

Not a brag...just thought it was a nice buck...

We hunted Alcott south of the Salton Sea last Saturday. Not a lot of birds in the area yet. We took these 5. Should have had another Mallard but unfortunately it dropped straight into some heavy cattails. We slogged around for 30 minutes and still could not find him. A few hours later a passing hunter offered his dog to go in and search. The dog couldn't find the bird either, the scent was probably cold by then.

Thankful for these birds and a wonderful day outdoors.

Tule Elk Sheds

Not a kill, but hiked a friend's property and found a large set of Tule Elk sheds. A week later, found an older tule elk shed while on another hike. I think they are from the same animal on different years. Very stoked.
