Best place for pig hunting near San Francisco

This is a long shot, but is there a good place to go and hunt wild pigs near San Francisco?

I'm looking to go somewhere less than a 3 hour drive from the city. Ideally public land, or potentially a ranch with guide or fee. Rifle only, no archery.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Chris

OP - Sorry to hijack your post but I'm also in San Francisco and would also be interested in pig hunting information too. Thanks for posting.

This is BigBoarStoppers info below. Call him. At least 10 calgunners have hunted with him and all report a good experience.

OP public land pig hunting in CA is like prospecting. If you find where they are, you shuts yer yap.

They really do prefer agriculture, and ranchers sell exclusive access to guides.

Hosshog has electrified fenced kept hogs and they bait the hogs in and hunters shoot from tree stands. That's not hunting to me!

Which ranch are we talking about ? They must be super rich to put electric fence on a 37,000 acres south fork ranch.

Coalinga area best to pay for a guide I have good luck with Miller bros, shoot pig, drive jeep up to pig, guide guts pig, take pig back to ranch for guide to skin and clean place pig in 44 deg cooled meat locker. super easy, hundreds of pigs, easy to get 2 a day when they are in the barley fields. tip guide well and always shoot pigs, drive jeep right up to kill zone.

I hunted at Hoss Ranch Facilities which is the title in the photo on their website with the pool table, showers, gas grills, and trailer style rooms. This is where I stayed and the property had a electric fence around the property and the guide knew how many hogs were on the property. In addition, the raise them and release on the property for hunting. I did enjoy their setup which was nice with a fire pit, cooking outside near the pool table, showers a little stroll for trailers, pig cleaning away from camp site, target practice off back of game room, game room with stuff animals. The rams you can shot walk around and not afraid of anyone. One of the guys shot a ram within 30 yards which wasn't hunting to me. We joke about it telling him that we could had hit it with a rock. We saw the same pigs everyday. The bottom wire on the property was electrified so that the hogs wouldn't go off the property. I can tell you about the property because I hunted there once.

PNOY- It's not the South Fork Ranch which they acquired not to long ago. That is a nice property which I hunted on before they got the rights to the lease. I stayed on this property before also. Very nice hunting there. Right outside the front door is a nice setup to hang your pigs. Done a lot of coyote shooting there. We caught a group of coyotes coming out of the barn there and we ambushed them. Lots of ponds there and sectioned off by gates. My first hunt was on this property years ago. They had satellite TV there in the living room area with a pullout sofa bed, full kitchen with inside bathroom next to the kitchen. There's a nice hill near the barn where you can shoot squirrels that pop up from these holes and run around.
