Looking at buying a dehydrator or investing that money in freeze dried food. PC has got me thinking about the dehyrator but does it stroe long enough compared to freeze dried food? Is it worth the effort I am looking for long term storage solutions for food. How do they compare taste wise between the two?

I have mostly freeze dried food since the menus I picked last 20+ years. I recently got into canning and recently got back into dehydrating. I concentrated more into freeze dried since long term storage is a factor to. You can do a combo (dehydrated, freeze died or canning) to give a flexibility.Comment

I have an Excalibur food dehydrator that's about 20 years old. I still use it all the time. Can't go wrong...Robert...
