I got a new Seek Compact XR (extended range, 20deg VS 35deg vision angle) for my "new" Note 9 (vs Regular Seek Compact with Note 3 that got stolen) and it doesn't seem as good as I remember ESPECIALLY for longer range.
It says "telephoto" and has a ring that turns but doesn't change magnification of device, but changes with phone's cam. Maybe mine is busted? Came brand new from Amazon with no sign of repack. Co-worker said he had one (same vintage as my first one) but after he dropped it it still worked but was grainy. Now I'm wondering if that is what I got. I think I'm gonna return it.
Maybe I'm fooling myself because I thought the old one was pretty niffy.
They SEEM to have dropped the Spyware requirement and only want access to files but not location but who knows.
Anyone got exp or expertise with these?
Hopefully tomorrow night I'll post a few pics with data like what distance and with phone function zoomed in or out.
One thing that is kinda nifty is you can detect stuff like if a car (or any object) was sitting cold on a cold clear night then left just prior because the ground will be warmer not from the car's brief run time but from the object reflecting heat back at the ground.
