I looking for advice on dispersed camping in Tahoe. I did this once 25 years ago. I took a fire road West of the lake and was able to set up camp in a small opening/meadow.
I'm looking to do a short three day trip with my boys. Because it is last minute there aren't any openings at the typical campgrounds.
Any suggestions or advice is appreciated.
Edited to add: We have a Ford F150. It isn't 4x4 and my wife would be pissed if I scratched her truck.
