Since this seems to be the HAM forum...
Has anyone here used a UV-5X3 radio or a TB-320A antenna? Any problems? Does a Tri-Band that is supposed to do everything not do anything very well?
The antenna would be used on my truck with a magnetic mount and an adapter to fit the UV-5X3 radio. I am not sure if I will ever need the 1.25M band, but I figured I might as well have it on my radio just in case. I also don't know if I would benefit from a tri-band antenna. I could just get a 2M/70cm antenna and a separate 1.25M antenna and switch them if I ever needed to.
